Agility

The first time I saw an "agility-like" event I had teary eyes watching how much heart the dogs that were running put into it.
I started training my first dog with Canine Combustion Dog Agility Club in Michigan in the mid 90s and shortly after became a board member and helped with enrolling (and even teaching) students.
Beginning in 2004, I taught several years of "Advanced Handling" for Animal Activity Center in Michigan.
In more recent years in Michigan, I enjoyed working under trainers Christine Frank and Lori Michewicz at Highest Hopes Dog Sports and taught a few seminars there as well.
I'm most inspired by Silvia Trkman and her handling and running style. I've attended seminars by Silvia and find her keen eye amazing.
I believe that each dog and handler team may need a unique solution and that agility training and handling isn't "one size fits all".
In the last year I have spent a lot of time studying how dogs learn, especially the teachings of Kathy Sdao.
Since moving to Florida I've had the opportunity to teach seminars and private lessons. See Upcoming Seminars for more information.
